The woman swallowed hard.

The man stepped back like he had seen a ghost.
The entire shop went silent.
He slowly pulled an old metal box from under the counter.
Inside were faded documents, old photographs…
and another identical necklace.
He placed a photo on the glass.
A younger version of him stood beside a dark-haired woman with the same eyes as hers.
Around her neck—
the same pendant.
But his expression in the photo was terrified.
The woman couldn’t breathe.
Before she could speak, the man looked straight into her eyes and said:
“I buried your mother twenty years ago.”
Silence.
Then her son whispered:
