He placed a small folder on the glass.
Man (calm, sharp): “You denied medicine to a sick child?”
Silence.
The pharmacist shifted uncomfortably.
Pharmacist: “We follow policy.”
The man opened the folder. Inside were documents, receipts, and surveillance screenshots.
Man: “Then your policy just became public.”
The room froze.
He turned slightly toward the woman.
Man (softer): “How long has he been sick?”
Woman (whispering): “Three days…”
A long pause.
The man looked back at the staff.
Man (cold): “This store is now under investigation.”
Gasps filled the room.
Security froze in place.
And then the final blow—
Man: “And she leaves here with everything she needs. Now.”
The silence wasn’t empty anymore.
It was explosive.
