Part 2 : The air in the bank became heavier, almost suffocating.

Charles stepped back from the terminal.

Charles Hayes (whispering): “This can’t be real…”

The veteran slowly walked forward, each step echoing across the marble floor.

Old Veteran: “You built your empire on a foundation you never understood.”

Charles tried to recover, forcing authority into his voice.

Charles Hayes: “Even if this is true, you can’t just walk in here and—”

The veteran raised his hand slightly.

Old Veteran (interrupting): “I already did.”

Suddenly, the screens across the bank flickered.

Every terminal displayed the same message:

“OWNERSHIP TRANSFER INITIATED.”

Gasps filled the room.

A security officer stepped forward but stopped halfway, unsure who to obey.

Charles looked around in panic.

Charles Hayes: “Stop this! Shut it down!”

But the assistant shook her head slowly.

Assistant: “We can’t… the system is overriding everything.”

The veteran turned to the crowd.

Old Veteran (calm but powerful): “Power is not taken. It is remembered.”

Charles Hayes stood frozen as his empire began slipping away in real time.

And for the first time in his life…

He wasn’t in control anymore.
