Girl: “So why did you lie?”
The doctor’s attention shifted back to the shattered cast on the floor. Something inside it caught his eye.
He crouched down, slowly pulling out a sealed plastic sleeve hidden within the plaster.
The woman’s expression collapsed.
Woman (screaming): “No! Don’t open that!”
But the doctor already had it in his hands.
His fingers trembled as he unfolded the paper inside.
The entire room held its breath.
He began to read out loud.
Doctor (shaken): “Keep her unable to walk until the inheritance is signed…”
Silence fell so heavily it felt like pressure.
The girl didn’t react—not fear, not surprise. Only certainty.
Her eyes lifted to the woman.
Girl (coldly): “You did this to my mother too… didn’t you?”
The woman staggered back, her power gone, her face pale.
And just as she opened her mouth to answer—
Security burst through the doors.
