Part 2 : The tension snapped…

The woman stepped forward, her voice rising.
“What did you do to her?!”

Guests leaned in, hungry for the truth.

The man exhaled slowly, as if annoyed this moment had finally come.
“I saved us.”

The waitress frowned.
“Saved… from what?”

The woman’s voice broke.
“From his debts. From his lies.”

A ripple of shock moved through the crowd.

The man laughed under his breath.
“You think they need to hear this?”

“I think she does,” the woman fired back, pointing at the waitress.

The waitress’s heart raced.
“Tell me. Now.”

A long pause.

Then—

The man spoke, cold and precise:
“The fire wasn’t an accident.”

The room gasped.

The woman covered her mouth, tears spilling.
“You said it was faulty wiring…”

“It was convenient,” he corrected.

The waitress staggered back.
“No… no, that’s not possible…”

“You were never supposed to be found,” he continued, almost calmly.
“But someone pulled you out before the flames spread.”

The woman whispered:
“I searched for you… for years…”

The waitress’s voice shook violently.
“So you just… erased me?”

The man’s expression didn’t change.
“I gave you a better life.”

“A lie is not a life!” she screamed.

Silence crashed down again.

Then the final fracture—

The woman turned to the crowd, her voice ringing with fury:
“He tried to kill his own daughter.”

Cameras lifted. Phones recorded. The scandal exploded in real time.

The man finally lost his composure.
“You have no proof.”

The waitress slowly removed the necklace, holding it up.

“Maybe not,” she said, tears streaming—
“but I have a reason to remember now.”

And for the first time—

The man looked afraid.
