Part 2 : The garden exploded into chaos.

“She moved his leg!”

“Oh my God—did you see that?!”

“Keep recording!”

Phones pointed from every direction as Ethan gripped the arms of his wheelchair so hard his knuckles turned white.

“Do it again,” he whispered.

Lily stayed silent.

Maria rushed forward and pulled her daughter back protectively.

“We’re leaving.”

“No.” Ethan’s voice shook for the first time ever. “Nobody leaves.”

The party guests exchanged nervous glances.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Ethan stared at Lily like he had seen a ghost.

Then slowly…

he reached into his jacket and pulled out an old photograph.

His hand trembled violently.

The photo showed a little girl standing beside a woman in a hospital room.

The same eyes.

The same face.

Maria’s expression drained of color instantly.

“No…” she whispered.

Ethan looked directly at her.

“You told me she died.”

The entire garden went silent.

Lily looked confused.

“What’s happening, Mom?”

Maria burst into tears.

Eight years earlier, Ethan Cole had secretly paid for an experimental medical procedure after a terrible accident destroyed his legs. The treatment failed.

But the doctors discovered something impossible during the testing:

his unborn daughter carried a rare neurological condition that could stimulate damaged nerves through physical contact.

The experiment was shut down.

The child was declared dead after birth.

Or so Ethan had been told.

Maria collapsed to her knees crying.

“I had no choice… They said powerful people would take her away from me…”

Ethan couldn’t breathe.

He looked at Lily again.

Not as a servant’s child.

Not as a miracle.

As his daughter.

Tears filled his eyes for the first time in years.

Then suddenly—

his legs shook violently.

The crowd gasped.

Ethan grabbed the table—

and slowly stood up.

The entire garden SCREAMED.

But Ethan barely noticed.

Because Lily was staring at him with tears running down her face.

And softly…

she asked the question that destroyed him completely:

“Are you my dad?”
