The envelope is opened on stage.
Inside: documents, bank records, and a final signed letter.
The host’s hands begin to shake.
HOST (whisper):
“This… can’t be real.”
The old man steps forward.
OLD MAN:
“It was never just charity. It was a test.”
Murmurs spread through the crowd.
COORDINATOR (confused):
“A test… of what?”
The old man turns toward the audience.
OLD MAN (firm):
“Power. Greed. Loyalty. Humanity.”
He points at the host.
OLD MAN:
“You failed the moment you forgot who built this.”
Silence drops heavier than before.
The host suddenly steps back.
HOST:
“Wait… then who are you really?”
The old man removes his coat slowly.
Under it: a simple suit… and a forgotten founder’s insignia.
OLD MAN (final line):
“I’m the reason any of you are here at all.”
He pauses.
OLD MAN (cold whisper):
“And I’m here to take it all back.”
