The woman walked forward slowly. She wore a dark suit and carried herself like someone powerful. But her eyes weren’t focused on anyone else.
They were locked on the little girl.
The child froze.
The woman’s hands were shaking.
Then suddenly—
She dropped to her knees.
Tears rolled down her face.
“Oh my God…”
The manager stared in confusion.
“Wait… you know her?”
The woman looked up, barely able to speak.
“Know her?” she whispered.
“She’s my daughter.”
The room went dead silent.
Months earlier, during a chaotic train evacuation after an accident, the little girl had disappeared in the crowd. Searches had failed. Days became weeks. Weeks became months.
Everyone had believed she was gone.
Everyone except her mother.
The little girl slowly stood up.
“M… Mom?”
The woman pulled her into her arms and cried harder than anyone there had ever seen.
Across the room, the flight attendant quietly wiped tears from her own eyes.
Then the mother stood and turned toward her.
“You protected my daughter when nobody else did.”
She reached into her purse and handed her a card.
“I own the biggest airline company in this city.”
The flight attendant blinked.
“And starting tomorrow… you’re working with me.”
The manager’s face lost all color.
Behind him, people had already started recording.
