Emergency crews were already pulling back.
The structure was unstable.
One more collapse was expected any second.
Captain Ray ignored the warnings and stepped forward.
Rescue Commander: “Ray, if you go in there, you won’t come back!”
But Ray didn’t stop.
Inside the rubble, the girl stood again—somehow having followed them.
She pointed at the broken ground.
Girl (softly): “He’s under there.”
A sudden radio burst cracked open.
Daniel (radio, weak): “Ray… I can hear you… I’m under the east tunnel…”
Ray grabbed the radio.
Ray: “Daniel, hold on! We’re coming for you!”
A pause.
Then the most chilling words yet:
Daniel: “Don’t come through the main path…”
Static exploded.
The ground shook violently.
A deep structural groan echoed from beneath them.
The girl suddenly screamed.
Girl: “He said it’s moving again!”
Ray looked down.
The cracked concrete floor was shifting.
Something beneath it was still alive.
Still collapsing.
Still trapping him deeper.
Then Daniel’s voice came one last time—barely a whisper:
Daniel: “…tell my daughter… I tried…”
A massive explosion of debris erupted from below.
The radio cut out.
Silence.
The girl dropped to her knees.
And behind them—
a faint flashlight blinked once… underground.
Then twice.
Still there.
Still alive.
