Alexander immediately ordered the restaurant evacuated.
His security team surrounded the mysterious package.
Lily clung tightly to Camila’s hand.
“Mommy, what’s happening?”
Camila forced a smile.

The package was carefully opened.

On the back of the photograph were six handwritten words:

The restaurant became deadly quiet.
Alexander felt sick.
“No…” he whispered.
Camila’s tears finally spilled.
“I tried to tell you.”
“What are you talking about?”
She looked directly at him.
“The night I came to your office to tell you I was pregnant, Daniel stopped me.”
Alexander’s jaw tightened.
“He said you never wanted children.”
“He lied.”
“He told me you were engaged to another woman.”
“He lied.”
“He paid people to make sure every message I sent you disappeared.”
Alexander’s knees nearly gave out.
For seven years, he had believed Camila abandoned him.
For seven years, Camila had believed he didn’t want her.

His own brother.
Suddenly another voice echoed through the restaurant.
“That’s enough.”
Everyone turned.
Daniel Vale stood near the entrance.
Slowly clapping.
Smiling.
“I wondered how long it would take you to figure it out.”
Alexander looked ready to kill him.
“Why?”
Daniel laughed bitterly.
“Because father was going to leave everything to you.”
The confession stunned everyone.
“I spent my entire life in your shadow,” Daniel shouted. “Then I discovered Camila was pregnant. I realized I finally had a way to destroy you.”
Lily stared in confusion.
“Mommy… why is that man yelling?”
Camila knelt beside her daughter.
“Because some people choose hate instead of love.”
Security moved toward Daniel.
But before they reached him, Alexander spoke.
“Take him away.”
For the first time in his life, Daniel looked afraid.
As security dragged him out, Alexander turned toward Camila.
His eyes were full of regret.
“I would have searched the entire world for you.”
“I know,” she whispered.
Then Alexander slowly knelt in front of Lily.
The billionaire who terrified CEOs suddenly looked nervous.
“Hi,” he said softly.
Lily tilted her head.
“Are you really my dad?”
Alexander’s eyes filled with tears.
“Yes.”
For a moment, nobody moved.
Then Lily wrapped her tiny arms around his neck.
“Good,” she whispered.
