The bank didn’t react immediately.
At first, it felt like a mistake. A system glitch. A joke.
But then the alarms didn’t sound.
They couldn’t.
Because the highest-level override had already been triggered.
By that same black card.
The employee stepped back from the terminal like it had burned her.
“That’s impossible…” she whispered.
The guard grabbed the boy’s arm.
“Kid, where did you steal this from?”
The boy didn’t resist.
He simply looked at the guard.
“I didn’t steal anything.”
His voice was still calm.
Too calm.
A senior manager rushed out from the back office, sweating, panic in his eyes.
He saw the screen.
And went pale.
“Everyone out,” he said immediately.
No explanation. No hesitation.
The crowd began to scatter, confused whispers filling the marble hall.
But the boy didn’t move.
The manager approached him slowly, like approaching something dangerous.
“…we weren’t expecting you,” he said quietly.
The guard froze.
The employee looked between them. “You… know him?”
The boy finally turned his gaze fully toward the manager.
“You changed the access protocols,” he said.
Not a question.
A fact.
The manager swallowed hard.
“…we had to. After what happened.”
A long silence followed.
The boy reached into his pocket and pulled out a small folded document.
He placed it on the counter.
“Then you should have expected me sooner.”
The manager opened it.
His hands trembled as he read the first line.
His face drained completely of color.
Because it wasn’t just an account.
It was ownership.
Full control.
Signed years ago under a name no one in the room had ever heard spoken aloud.
The guard slowly released his grip.
The employee stepped back.
The boy looked around the frozen marble hall one last time.
And said quietly:
“I’m not here to ask permission.”
A soft beep echoed from the system.
All screens in the bank turned black.
Then, one line appeared:
SYSTEM ACCESS TRANSFERRED
The boy turned toward the exit.
But before he left, he paused.
And said the final words over his shoulder:
“Now… who wants to tell me what you’ve been doing with my bank?”
