Outside, the man tried to start his car, but the biker yanked the door open before he could drive away.
“Where is Sarah?” he shouted.
The man finally broke.
“I didn’t hurt her… I swear! She made me promise to protect Lily if anything happened.”
He reached into his jacket and pulled out a worn envelope.
Inside was a photograph of Sarah holding a newborn baby—and a handwritten letter.
“If Lily ever finds the man with the wolf tattoo, she’ll finally be safe. He was the only person I ever trusted.”
The biker’s hands trembled as he read the last line.
Sarah had died protecting her daughter from the very people who were still searching for her.
He looked back at Lily, who stood quietly in the diner doorway.
Without saying another word, he walked over, knelt beside her, and held out his hand.
“This time,” he said softly, “you’re not facing them alone.”
Lily smiled for the first time in years and took his hand, knowing her mother’s final promise had finally come true.
