The man dropped to his knees.
Right there in the street.
“No… no… that’s not possible…” he kept repeating.
The crowd was silent now.
Phones recording everything.
The boy stood over him, emotionless.
“All these years… you never came back,” he said.
The man looked up, tears in his eyes:
“I searched for you… I swear…”
The boy didn’t react.
He just leaned closer… and whispered again—
this time louder.
“My mother didn’t die waiting for you…”
Pause.
The man froze.
“…she died because of you.”
Gasps.
The man’s entire body shook.
“What do you mean…?” he whispered.
The boy’s eyes went cold.
“I was there.”
Silence.
“And I remember everything.”
The man’s face drained of all color.
“Then you know… it wasn’t my fault…” he said desperately.
The boy slowly stepped back.
For a second… it looked like he might forgive him.
But then—
sirens echoed in the distance.
The boy glanced behind the man… and smiled faintly.
“You’ll explain it to them.”
The man turned—
Police cars pulled up.
Doors slammed.
Officers rushed out.
The man froze in place.
The boy was already walking away into the crowd.
And just before disappearing… he said—
“This time… you don’t get to leave.”
CUT.
