Part 2 : The arena went silent in waves as Ranger closed the distance. The crowd screamed for the boy to run, but he didn’t move. Tears ran down his face as he stood his ground.

“If you remember him…” the boy whispered again.

Ranger suddenly charged.

Dust exploded into the air. The impact seemed inevitable—people covered their eyes, unable to watch.

But at the very last second, everything stopped.

Silence.

Ranger stood inches away from the boy… then slowly lowered his massive head until it touched the child’s chest, as if recognizing something lost long ago.

The crowd gasped in disbelief.

At the edge of the ring, an old ranch hand froze when he saw the initials on the bandana. The color drained from his face.

The boy turned, shaking with emotion, and shouted across the arena:

You lied to my dad before he died!

Every head snapped toward the old man. The truth had finally surfaced—and the entire rodeo stood frozen inside it.
