PART 2 — The Woman He Thought Was Dead

The hall erupted.

Guests were whispering, recording, standing up.

Vanessa stepped back in disbelief.

“Ethan… you told me she was dead.”

The woman—Lena—finally lifted her head.

Her voice was barely audible.

“I didn’t die…”

The boy held tighter to her neck.

“Mommy, don’t let them take you again…”

That sentence changed everything.

Ethan’s face hardened—but his eyes were shaking.

“Five years…” he said quietly.
“Five years I buried you.”

Lena shook her head.

“You didn’t bury me. You replaced me.”

Gasps filled the room.

Vanessa’s voice cracked with rage.

“I built this life with him while you were gone!”

Lena looked at her calmly.

“I didn’t leave him.”

A pause.

The entire room held its breath.

Lena continued:

“I was taken.”

Dead silence.

Ethan’s expression changed instantly.

“Taken by who?”

Before she could answer—

The boy suddenly screamed and pointed toward the entrance.

Security froze.

The massive cathedral doors slowly opened again.

A man in a dark coat stood there.

Smiling.

“Long time no see, Lena.”

Ethan’s face went pale.

Lena whispered, terrified:

“…Noah’s father.”

Ethan stepped forward instantly:

“That’s impossible. I am his father.”

The man laughed softly.

“Are you?”

He pulled out a document folder.

And dropped it onto the floor.

The first page slid out.

A DNA test.

Ethan stared at it.

Then at the boy.

Then at Lena.

And the man said the final words:

“You never asked who she was married to before you.”

Lena’s eyes widened.

“Don’t open that file…” she whispered.

Ethan slowly bent down.

His fingers touched the paper.
