PART 2 — The Secret That Changed Everything

“Stay behind me,” Victoria whispered to both boys.

For the first time in their lives, Daniel and Sam stood side by side.

Twins.

Brothers.

Neither fully understanding what was happening.

Victoria’s mother-in-law slowly approached.

“You should have stayed hidden,” she told Sam.

The boy stepped back.

“Why did you take me?”

The old woman sighed.

“Because you were never supposed to inherit the Harrington fortune.”

Victoria stared at her in disbelief.

“What are you talking about?”

The woman laughed.

“Daniel wasn’t the child I wanted. But when I learned there were twins, I realized I could choose.”

Victoria felt sick.

“You stole my son for money?”

“No,” the woman replied.

“For power.”

Then she revealed the truth.

Years earlier, Victoria’s husband had secretly changed his will.

The firstborn twin would inherit everything.

Millions.

Companies.

Properties.

Control of the entire Harrington empire.

And Samuel had been born three minutes before Daniel.

The true heir had never been Daniel.

It had always been Sam.

Victoria could barely breathe.

The old woman had stolen a newborn baby simply to control the family fortune.

But before she could speak, another voice interrupted.

“That’s enough.”

Everyone turned.

A man stepped from the black car.

Victoria froze.

“Michael?”

Her husband.

The boys’ father.

The man she believed had died in a plane crash ten years earlier.

Daniel’s jaw dropped.

Sam looked equally stunned.

The old woman suddenly lost her confidence.

“Michael…”

He stared at her with disgust.

“I survived the crash. And I’ve spent ten years gathering proof of what you did.”

The color drained from her face.

Police vehicles appeared at the end of the street.

Michael placed a hand on each son’s shoulder.

“For ten years, I searched for Samuel.”

Tears filled Victoria’s eyes.

The family she thought she had lost was finally together.

As officers approached the grandmother, Sam looked at Daniel.

“So… we’re really brothers?”

Daniel smiled.

“No.”

Sam looked confused.

Daniel wrapped him in a hug.

“We’re twins.”

For the first time in eleven years, neither boy stood alone.
