Part 2 – The Truth Harper Hid

The biker slowly glanced into his motorcycle mirror instead of turning.

Three black SUVs were rolling silently toward them.

His heart pounded.

He grabbed the girl’s hand.

“Run.”

They disappeared into the nearby forest just as armed men jumped from the vehicles.

Hidden behind the trees, the girl finally spoke.

“My mom isn’t dead.”

He froze.

“They’ve kept her hidden for twelve years because she knows what they stole… and she said only you would believe her.”

She pulled a worn silver locket from beneath her dress.

Inside was an old photograph.

A younger Harper stood beside the biker, both smiling.

On the back, in faded ink, were five words:

“Trust no one wearing black.”

The biker looked toward the road.

The men were searching only a few yards away.

He closed the locket, stared into the girl’s frightened eyes, and made a promise.

“I’m bringing your mother home.”

For the first time in twelve years, he knew Harper was still alive—and the real hunt had just begun.
