The groom suddenly grabbed Noah’s photograph.
“Where did you get this?”
Noah’s mother stepped forward.
“You gave it to me when you promised you’d finally tell the truth.”
Victoria stared at her husband.
“Tell me what?”
He swallowed hard.
Before he could answer, Noah pointed toward the ballroom entrance.
Everyone turned.
An elderly woman in a silver dress had just walked inside.
The groom looked terrified.
Victoria whispered:
“Who is she?”
Noah’s mother answered:
“His real wife.”
Gasps exploded across the room.
Victoria backed away from the altar.
“That’s impossible.”
The elderly woman walked directly toward them and placed a folder on the table.
Inside were marriage records, bank transfers, and one document dated only three days earlier.
Victoria picked it up.
Her hands began shaking.
Then she looked at the groom.
“You transferred my entire wedding fund?”
He said nothing.
The woman in silver leaned closer.
“He wasn’t marrying you for love.”
Victoria stared at her.
“Then why was he marrying me?”
The woman opened the final envelope.
What Victoria saw inside made her drop her wedding ring onto the floor.
