Part 2 : Rowan drove home at nearly ninety miles per hour.

His hands gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white.

Every mile fueled his anger.

Every memory became another piece of the nightmare.

When he reached the mansion, he stormed through the front doors.

“Tessa!”

No answer.

“TESSA!”

The house remained silent.

Then he heard it.

A tiny laugh.

A child’s laugh.

Coming from the locked guest wing.

His pulse exploded.

He raced down the hallway and slammed into the door.

Locked.

Again.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a decorative fire axe from the wall and smashed the lock apart.

The door burst open.

And there she was.

A little girl with blond curls sat on the floor surrounded by toys.

She looked up and smiled.

The smile was identical to his.

Rowan nearly collapsed.

His daughter.

His missing daughter.

Alive.

A nanny rushed into the room.

“What are you doing?”

“Who is this child?” Rowan demanded.

The woman froze.

Then she realized the truth had finally surfaced.

“She’s yours.”

The words echoed through the room.

Minutes later, police officers filled the house.

The nanny confessed everything.

Tessa had forged guardianship documents.

She claimed the baby had been abandoned.

Money and threats kept everyone quiet.

For an entire year she secretly raised Rowan’s daughter inside his own home.

Her plan was simple.

Marry Rowan.

Secure his fortune.

Then reveal the child as an “adopted miracle” after the wedding.

But she never expected Rowan to discover the truth first.

Tessa was arrested that evening at a luxury spa two counties away.

As officers placed her in handcuffs, she screamed that she had done it for love.

Nobody believed her.

Not anymore.

Three months later, Rowan stood in a courtroom and listened as every lie unraveled.

The false evidence.

The fake affair.

The planted necklace.

The stolen child.

Everything.

By sunset, Tessa was sentenced to years behind bars.

When the trial ended, Rowan walked outside and found Maren waiting beneath the courthouse steps.

The twins sat in a stroller.

Their daughter rested in Maren’s arms.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Finally, Rowan lowered his head.

“I destroyed our family.”

Maren studied him quietly.

“You believed the wrong person.”

“I’ll spend the rest of my life making that right.”

Tears filled her eyes.

Not because the pain was gone.

But because, for the first time, he truly understood it.

A year later, the Bellamy family gathered for a birthday celebration.

Three children raced through the backyard.

Laughter filled the air.

The wounds of the past hadn’t disappeared.

Some scars never do.

But healing had finally begun.

As the triplets blew out their candles together, Rowan wrapped an arm around Maren.

And this time, neither of them let go.

The family he almost lost forever was finally home.
