PART 2 : Ten minutes later, the atmosphere inside Gate 12 had completely changed.

Three black executive cars stopped outside the private airport entrance.

Senior executives rushed through the terminal.

Claudia’s confident smile disappeared.

“What is happening?” she whispered.

Then she saw the old man standing beside Gate 12.

He was no longer the helpless passenger everyone had ignored.

The airport director approached him and immediately froze.

“Mr. Reyes…”

Claudia’s face went pale.

Daniel, standing near his locker with a cardboard box, turned around.

The airport director looked at him.

“Daniel… you need to stay.”

Daniel frowned.

“Why?”

The old man stepped forward.

His voice softened.

“Because I owe you an apology.”

Daniel stared at him.

“You don’t owe me anything.”

The old man shook his head.

“My name is Samuel Reyes.”

Daniel’s eyes widened.

Samuel continued.

“I built this airport thirty years ago.”

The entire terminal fell silent.

Claudia took a step backward.

Samuel looked at her.

“I came here today disguised as an ordinary old man.”

He glanced at his worn suitcase.

“I wanted to see how people were treated when nobody knew who they were.”

Then he looked at Daniel.

“Everyone walked past me.”

His voice cracked.

“Except you.”

Daniel lowered his eyes.

“I just did what anyone should have done.”

Samuel shook his head.

“No, Daniel.”

He stepped closer.

“You did what everyone else forgot how to do.”

He turned toward the board.

“Daniel gets his job back.”

Then he paused.

“And Claudia?”

Claudia began trembling.

Samuel’s expression became cold.

“She doesn’t work here anymore.”

Daniel looked at Samuel.

“What about her?”

Samuel answered quietly.

“Sometimes losing a job is not the punishment.”

He looked at Claudia.

“Sometimes realizing what you’ve become is.”

Claudia’s eyes filled with tears.

Daniel picked up his broken badge.

Samuel placed a brand-new badge in his hand.

But Daniel didn’t look at the badge.

He looked at Samuel.

“Thank you… for trusting me.”

Samuel smiled.

“No, son.”

He placed a hand on Daniel’s shoulder.

“Thank you for reminding me why I built this place in the first place.”

The golden sunlight filled the terminal.

And for the first time that day, Daniel smiled.

Because sometimes…

the person everyone chooses to ignore is the one who changes everything.
