“Please… where is she?”
The boy hesitated.
“My mom said you weren’t the man she married anymore.”
Tears filled the businessman’s eyes.
“I’ve been searching for her for eight years.”
The boy reached into his backpack and pulled out a small silver locket.
“My mom told me to give this to the only man who would recognize it.”
The businessman opened it.
Inside was a tiny handwritten note.
“If you’re reading this, you finally found our son.”
His knees gave out.
He looked up at the little boy through tears.
“Our… son?”
