Part 2 : The crowd gathered around Victoria as she regained consciousness.

Tears streamed down her face.

For years she had hidden the truth.

A truth she hoped would die with her.

The homeless boy stepped closer.

“Tell me who I am.”

Victoria shook violently.

Ethan looked between them.

“Mom… what’s happening?”

Victoria finally spoke.

“Twelve years ago, I gave birth to twins.”

Silence.

Both boys stared at her.

“There was a fire in the hospital that night. Chaos everywhere. When the evacuation ended, they told me one of my babies had died.”

Her voice cracked.

“I believed them.”

The homeless boy’s eyes filled with tears.

“I didn’t die.”

Victoria nodded.

“No.”

A man stepped from the crowd.

An older nurse who had been listening.

His face was pale.

“I remember that night.”

Everyone turned toward him.

“The second baby wasn’t dead.”

Victoria’s heart stopped.

“What are you saying?”

The nurse swallowed hard.

“He was taken.”

Gasps erupted.

“Taken by who?” Ethan asked.

The nurse pointed toward a black luxury SUV parked across the street.

A man stood beside it.

Watching.

Waiting.

The moment he realized everyone was looking at him, he opened the car door.

And smiled.

The homeless boy’s face turned white.

He stepped backward.

“No…”

Victoria grabbed his arm.

“Do you know him?”

The boy nodded.

His voice shook.

“He’s the man who raised me.”

The stranger slowly removed his sunglasses.

Then he said something that froze everyone.

“No.”

He smiled.

“I created you.”

The SUV doors suddenly opened.

Several people stepped out.

The twins stared in horror.

The stranger took one step forward.

And revealed a folder containing two identical birth certificates.

“You’re both only half the story.”
