Part 2 : The doctor slowly opened the packet.

Inside were several documents.

At first, nobody understood what they were.

Then the doctor’s face drained of color.

“These are ownership transfers,” he whispered.

The room froze.

Richard lunged forward.

“Give those back!”

But it was too late.

The documents showed that millions of dollars’ worth of company shares had secretly been transferred to offshore accounts.

Illegal accounts.

Hidden accounts.

Accounts controlled by someone nobody expected.

The doctor looked up.

“These were signed yesterday.”

Everyone stared at Richard.

The old billionaire lowered his head.

For years he had pretended to be weak.

Pretended to be injured.

Pretended to be a victim.

All while secretly moving money out of the company his family believed he was protecting.

Ethan felt his stomach twist.

“Why?” he asked.

Richard looked at the boy.

Tears filled his eyes.

“Because I wasn’t stealing it from my family,” he said quietly.

“I was hiding it for them.”

The room went silent.

Richard pointed toward the window.

“They were coming for everything.”

“Who?” Ethan asked.

Before Richard could answer—

The penthouse doors burst open.

Several men in black suits rushed inside.

One of them smiled.

“Mr. Hale,” he said calmly. “You should have stayed silent.”

The color vanished from Richard’s face.

Ethan suddenly understood.

The money had never been the secret.

The people chasing it were.

And now they knew exactly where Richard was.
