Part 2 : The gold badge caught the light—

And everything changed.

The whispers turned into gasps.

Marcus’ smile faded. Slowly.

For the first time—
he looked unsure.

Raymond (quiet, controlled):
“You just made a very big mistake.”

Natalie’s eyes filled with tears again—but this time… something else was there.

Hope.

Marcus (tense):
“…this is ridiculous. You can’t—”

Raymond (cuts him off):
“I can.”

A step closer.

The air turned heavy.

Raymond (firm):
“You’re under arrest.”

Silence.

But it didn’t end there.

Marcus let out a sharp, humorless laugh.

Marcus (low, dangerous):
“You think this is about a slap?”

He leaned closer.

Marcus (whispers):
“You have no idea what you’re walking into.”

Raymond didn’t flinch.

Instead—he pulled out a second item.

Not a badge.

A phone.

He turned the screen toward the crowd.

A video.

Grainy footage—

Marcus.
Another woman.
Crying. Begging.

The same hand.

The same violence.

Gasps erupted.

Natalie covered her mouth.

Natalie (shattered):
“…how many?”

Marcus’ silence said everything.

The little boy grabbed her dress, terrified.

Boy (crying):
“Is he going to hurt us too?”

That broke her.

Not the slap.
Not the humiliation.

That.

Natalie straightened.

Her fear turned into something sharper.

Natalie (cold, final):
“No. He’s not.”

She stepped back.

Away from Marcus.

Forever.

Police moved in.

Hands grabbed Marcus.

This time—he didn’t resist.

But his eyes… burned into Raymond.

Marcus (quiet threat):
“This isn’t over.”

Raymond didn’t respond.

He just watched as Marcus was taken away.

The wedding lights flickered.

The music never came back.

The cake lay destroyed.

And in front of everyone—

The perfect life Natalie thought she had…

Collapsed in seconds.
