part 2 : The restaurant felt colder, as if the golden lights had lost their warmth.

Every guest watched in uneasy silence.

The woman leaned forward, trembling now, her perfect world cracking at the edges.

“Tell me,” she whispered. “What truth?”

The girl’s lips quivered. Her eyes filled with tears she could no longer hold back.

“Before she died… my mother said…”

She swallowed hard.

The entire room seemed frozen in that single moment.

“Mommy said… you are my—”

Her voice broke.

And before she could finish—

A man at the next table suddenly stood up.

His chair scraped violently against the marble floor.

“NO!” he shouted. “DON’T TELL HER!”

Gasps filled the room. Glasses trembled. The woman shot up from her seat, her hands shaking uncontrollably.

“Who are you?” she demanded.

But the girl only stared at the man… terrified… still holding the watch like it was the last piece of truth in the world.

The man took one step forward.

And said the words that shattered everything:

“She was never supposed to find her.”
