Part 2 – The Secret Emily Hid

The black SUVs stopped with military precision.

Men in dark suits stepped out, scanning the parking lot.

Tank immediately pulled the little girl behind him.

“Don’t say another word,” he whispered.

One of the men approached with a polite smile.

“We’re looking for a missing child.”

The little girl squeezed Tank’s hand.

“They’re lying.”

Tank stared into her frightened eyes.

“Who are they?”

“They’ve been chasing Mom for years.”

Before he could ask another question, she pulled a small folded letter from inside the teddy bear.

“It’s for you.”

Tank unfolded the yellowed paper.

Emily’s handwriting was unmistakable.

Tank… if you’re reading this, I survived. They never stopped hunting me. Our daughter is the only proof of what they did. Protect her. Trust no one.

Tank looked from the letter to the little girl.

“Our… daughter?”

She slowly nodded, tears filling her eyes.

The suited men began surrounding the parking lot.

One of them raised a photo.

“Hand over the child, and nobody gets hurt.”

Tank crumpled the letter in his fist.

For fifteen years, he believed he’d lost the woman he loved.

Now he had just discovered he also had a daughter.

He climbed onto his motorcycle and looked at the terrified girl.

“Hold on tight.”

As the engine roared to life, the SUVs accelerated toward them—
