“That scar…” she whispered. “You were only four years old when you disappeared.”
The crowd stood speechless.
The boy couldn’t understand.
“I’ve never had a mother,” he said quietly. “I grew up in shelters.”
The woman pulled an old, faded photograph from her wallet.
It showed a smiling little boy with the exact same scar.
Emily looked back and forth between them.
“Mom… is he really my brother?”
The woman nodded through her tears.
“I searched for you every single day.”
The boy slowly stepped closer.
For the first time in years, someone hugged him like family.
And the entire plaza erupted into applause.
