“Stop joking.”
The manager looked directly at Sophia before speaking.
“Everyone knows our founder, Daniel Brooks. What very few people know is that he transferred controlling ownership to his daughter years ago.”
He faced the stunned crowd.
“This is Miss Sophia Brooks… the majority owner of this entire jewelry company.”
The boutique became completely silent.
The woman’s face lost all color.
“I… I didn’t know…” she whispered.
Sophia finally spoke.
“You didn’t judge my bank account. You judged my appearance.”
She looked around the showroom.
“Luxury isn’t measured by diamonds. It’s measured by how you treat people who can do nothing for you.”
No one said a word.
Several customers quietly lowered their phones in embarrassment.
Sophia smiled politely, purchased the necklace, and walked out of the boutique.
The woman remained frozen in place, realizing that a few cruel words had destroyed her reputation in front of everyone.
