PART 2 : A LITTLE GIRL GAVE HER SANDWICH TO A HOMELESS BOY — THEN HER MOTHER SAW HIS FACE AND DROPPED HER BAG

“You can have mine,” Emily whispered, handing the homeless boy her sandwich.

The boy stared at her with wide blue eyes.

“Thank you.”

Emily smiled and hugged him.

Suddenly, her mother came running.

“Emily! Get away from him!”

“Mom, he’s just hungry!”

The woman turned toward the boy angrily—

Then froze.

Blue eyes.

A tiny scar beneath his chin.

Her handbag crashed onto the wet pavement.

“Thomas…?”

The boy stared at her.

“How do you know my name?”

The woman fell to her knees, shaking.

“My baby…”

Emily stepped back in shock.

“Mom… who is he?”

Her mother looked at her through tears.

“Your brother.”

Emily’s face went white.

“But you told me Thomas died.”

The woman whispered:

“That’s what they told me.”

Then Thomas reached under his torn hoodie and pulled out an old hospital bracelet.

His mother stared at it in horror.

Thomas swallowed hard.

“The woman who raised me said you were never supposed to see this…”
