Part 2 : Screams exploded across the ballroom.

Guests ducked behind tables as armed men stormed toward the piano.

The little girl froze in terror.

The billionaire stepped in front of her instantly.

“You’re not touching her.”

The leader smirked.

“You really don’t recognize us, Adrian?”

The billionaire’s face darkened.

Twenty years ago, Adrian Laurent had destroyed one of the most dangerous crime families in Europe. Everyone believed they were gone.

But they hadn’t disappeared.

They had waited.

And now they wanted revenge.

The little girl grabbed Adrian’s sleeve tightly.

“Who are they?”

Before he could answer, the leader threw a photograph onto the piano keys.

Adrian picked it up—

and nearly collapsed.

It was a picture of the woman he once loved.

Emily’s mother.

Alive.

Recent.

Adrian’s voice cracked.
“…Sophia?”

The criminal smiled coldly.

“She’s alive. Barely.”

Emily stared at him in confusion.

“My mother told me my father abandoned us.”

Adrian looked at her with tears in his eyes.

“I searched for you both for twenty years.”

The room felt like it stopped breathing.

Suddenly, one of the gunmen grabbed Emily violently.

“Move!”

Emily screamed.

Adrian lunged forward without thinking.

A gunshot exploded through the ballroom.

Guests screamed.

The chandelier above shattered into thousands of glittering crystals.

Adrian tackled the gunman while security rushed inside.

Chaos erupted everywhere.

Emily crawled across the marble floor, crying desperately.

“Dad!”

The word hit Adrian harder than the bullet burning through his shoulder.

For one brief second, everything around him disappeared.

He had missed her first steps.

Her birthdays.

Her entire life.

But he would not lose her again.

Adrian grabbed Emily protectively as police stormed the ballroom.

The criminals escaped into the night.

And in the silence that followed, Emily looked at him with trembling eyes.

“Are you really my father?”

Adrian slowly touched the pendant around her neck.

“Yes.”

Emily burst into tears and hugged him tightly.

The billionaire who owned half the city fell to his knees in the middle of shattered crystal and blood-stained marble…

holding the daughter he thought he had lost forever.

But far away, inside a dark moving car, Sophia opened her eyes weakly.

And whispered:

“Emily…”
