PART 2 — “The Girl the Company Never Expected”

The black car door opened.

The executive gestured urgently.

“Sir, we must leave immediately.”

But the man didn’t move yet.

He looked at Emma one last time, studying her face like he was memorizing something fragile.

“You gave me something today I forgot I lost,” he said.

Emma swallowed. “I just gave you a sandwich…”

A faint, almost painful smile crossed his face.

“No,” he replied. “You gave me dignity.”

Then he stepped into the car.

The door shut.

The engine roared to life—and the car pulled away, leaving only dust and silence behind.

Emma stood alone in the glowing schoolyard.

But then her phone buzzed.

Unknown number.

She hesitated… then answered.

A calm voice came through.

“Emma, right?”

Her breath caught.

“Yes… who is this?”

A pause.

Then—

“This is the Chairman’s legal office. He has formally requested your presence tomorrow.”

Emma blinked. “What? Why me?”

The voice lowered slightly.

“Because according to his signed instruction…”

Another pause.

“…you are now listed as a witness to a confidential corporate transition.”

Emma’s eyes widened.

A witness?

To what exactly?

And before she could ask—

The call ended.

Behind her, the school bell rang like nothing had happened.

But Emma already knew—

Her life was no longer normal.

And somewhere in that moving black car…

the man who left was not done with her yet.
