He searched everywhere.
Called everyone.
No answer.
Until—
His phone rang.
“Come to the Grand Orion Hotel. Now,” a female voice said.
When he arrived, his heart nearly stopped.
The entire hotel entrance was lined with luxury cars, security, and media.
And then he saw her.
Julianne.
But not the girl from the street.
She stepped out of a black car wearing a custom designer outfit, her hair styled flawlessly, confidence radiating from every step.
Everyone moved for her.
People greeted her with respect.
Power.
Influence.
Leo approached slowly. “Julianne… what is this?”
She looked at him calmly. “The truth.”
His mother appeared behind him—shaken.
Julianne turned toward her.
“You called me ‘nothing,’” she said quietly. “A street girl.”
The mother tried to speak. “I didn’t—”
“You did,” Julianne interrupted.
Then she gestured toward the massive hotel behind her.
“I own this building.”
Silence.
Leo’s breath caught.
Julianne stepped closer, her eyes locking onto his.
“I wanted to know if you loved me without knowing who I was.”
He whispered, “I do.”
She glanced at the ring in his hand.
A long pause.
Then—
She gently closed his fingers over it.
“But you hesitated,” she said softly. “When it mattered most.”
Leo’s face broke.
“And I don’t build my life with hesitation.”
She turned away.
The mother stepped forward desperately. “We can fix this—”
Julianne stopped… but didn’t look back.
“You already showed me who you are.”
She walked forward, surrounded by power, cameras flashing.
Leo stood frozen.
The woman he loved—
Was never out of his league.
He was out of hers.
