The courtroom doors opened.
Everyone waited for the judge’s decision.
The judge held the old letter in his hands.
“This letter proves that your father made a legal request before he disappeared.”
The audience gasped.
The boy looked confused.
“A request?”
The judge nodded.
“He wanted you to protect your little brother… because he knew you were the only person he could trust.”
The little brother started crying.
“Dad knew we would be together…”
The boy hugged him tightly.
But then the judge looked at the final page of the letter.
His face turned serious.
“There is one more thing.”
The entire room became silent.
“Your father didn’t disappear by accident.”
The boy froze.
“What do you mean?”
The judge slowly placed a document on the table.
“Someone inside this courtroom knows what really happened.”
Everyone turned and looked around.
A person in the audience suddenly stood up and tried to leave.
The boy recognized him.
His eyes widened.
“Wait…”
“I know you.”
The courtroom doors closed.
