The businessman could barely speak.
He asked the boy to take him home.
Minutes later, they arrived at a small white house covered with flowers.
The front door opened.
A woman stepped outside.
The businessman felt the world stop.
It was her.
Exactly as she looked three years ago.
Not older.
Not different.
Just… alive.
Tears filled his eyes.
“Emily…”
She froze the moment she saw him.
Neither of them spoke.
The boy looked back and forth between them.
“You two know each other?”
The woman closed her eyes.
“I hoped this day would never come.”
The businessman whispered,
“They told me you drowned.”
She nodded slowly.
“I let them believe it.”
“Why?”
Her voice shook.
“Because the people looking for me weren’t going to stop.”
She reached for her son’s hand.
“I had to disappear… or they would have killed both of us.”
The businessman stood frozen.
Everything he had believed for three years was a lie.
She stepped closer.
“I’m sorry.”
“I never stopped loving you.”
Before he could answer…
A black SUV suddenly stopped in front of the house.
Three armed strangers stepped out.
One of them smiled.
“We finally found you.”
THE END… OR IS IT?
