PART 2 : Everyone turned toward the entrance.

A woman walked in slowly, thin and exhausted, with bruises still fading along her arms.

The little girl ran to her screaming, “Mom!”

My fiancé stumbled backward like he’d seen a ghost.

The woman looked straight at me and said,
“He told me he loved me too. Then when I got pregnant, he paid me to stay quiet. When I refused, I disappeared.”

The church erupted.

His best man stepped away from him.
His own mother started crying.
My father shouted, “Is this true?!”

But the worst part hadn’t even come yet.

The woman pulled out her phone, opened a folder, and handed it to me.

Messages. Bank transfers. Voice notes.

And one video.

In it, my fiancé was sitting in a car, furious, saying:
“If she keeps pushing, I’ll marry the rich one and erase the rest.”

The rich one. That was me.

My legs nearly gave out.

I looked at him, waiting for him to deny it.

He didn’t.

Instead, he whispered,
“I was going to tell you after the wedding.”

After the wedding.

After he had my name.
After he had my money.
After he had everything.

So I took off my ring, dropped it at his feet, and said loudly enough for every guest to hear:

“You didn’t lose a wife today.
You lost your last lie.”

Then I turned to the little girl’s mother and said,
“Let’s call the police.”

And while officers were walking him out of the church, he screamed one final sentence that made the entire room freeze:

“Ask your mother why she introduced us in the first place!”

I turned around slowly.

My mother couldn’t even look me in the eye.
